Organization Citizenship Behavior

The protagonist of this story is none other than our silent Shabbir! Four friends Hitesh, Kushal, Shabbir and Sean had gone to Electronics City to eat a second lunch and feast on some Baskin Robbins ice cream.

Towards the end of lunch the waiter brought us the bill which was split between the four of us. As the four got up to go Sean noticed Shabbir picking his plate up and walking. Startled Sean asked, "Shabbir kya kar raha hai? Kaha le ja raha plate?"

Shabbir thought they were still in college and that he had to give his plate to the dish washing place. Realizing what he was doing, he dropped the plate back on the table and all the four burst out in splits of laughter.

Back After A Week

We are all back again. After a week of fun and flutter. One coming from the far north (Probably love sick). One coming from the north cured of his love sickness. Another one coming from the same north ready to get back into the love action. One The fourth coming back from town relaxed and charged (No idea about love here). The last lunatic also coming back from town (Forever love sick).

Baat Yahan Tak Pahuch Gayi

This is a continuation of the suspense being created in this blog. We dont know how much of a suspense it still is. This happened quite sometime back.

Harris and Shabbir were coming from the food court and had reached the culvert when they were approached by someone. This person handed them a pretty big bag which was to be passed on to Amar. Out of curiosity Harris asked, "Bag mein kya hai?". Pat came the reply, "Amar ke kapde!".

At this moment both Harris and Shabbir looked at each other and with a cheesy grin said, "Acha to baat yahan tak pahuch gayi hai!".

What is our Deepest Fear?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
Your playing small does not serve the world there was nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were all meant to shine as children do.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone and as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same as we are liberated from our own fear.
Our presence automatically liberates us.

High on???

If you have read the Halal post then this is a continuation of that. On our way back we met Ankita and Arpita (was it coincidence or planned???) who had just come back from town. Near the library a few droplets started to fall from the sky. To this Sean commented, "Its gonna rain soon". Amar who was busy in his own world (you know which one!!!) trying to impress someone said, "Sean is high on coke (Coca Cola not cocaine*)."

Around 10 mins later it started drizzling and Sean said, "I was probably high on coke but you were high on something else. (Or may i say someone else)".

* We had just celebrated Vineet's success with cake and coke.

Halal

This is a non-veg incident ... (Sheesh!!! Its not that non-veg you pervert!!!). Anyways as i was saying this is a non-veg incident. Amar Harris and Sean had gone just outside the campus gates to this small shop where we get chicken kababs and other things to eat. We also planned to pack some for Shabbir and Prashant. As all you know that Harris and Shabbir are muslims so they can only eat halal meat.

(For those of you who dont know Halal and Jatka are two types of meat. Halal is where the meat must have been slaughtered according to traditional guidelines set forth by the Sunnah, known as dhabiĥa).

Coming back to our story - We had to ask the shopkeeper if the meat was Halal or not. Due to the communication barrier (faced by most of us here) he did not understand us and Harris said that he will not risk eating it.

At this moment Amar suggested, "Tu omelet khale". Harris in no mood for that declined. To which Amar said, "Arey yaar omelet to halal hai!!!".

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I think everyone loves to sleep but there are routine things that happen to us everyday. In the night we will plan to watch a movie without fail irrespective of assignments or tests. Sometimes, we do go through with our plan but that usually happens by 1:00 in the night.

An hour into the movie and Harris goes, "Arey yaar mujhe bahut neend aa rahi hai. Chal sote hai." Saying this he will sleep walk back to his room.

In the morning we have 8-10 alarms to wake us up but we still dont get up till 45 mins before class. The first one to go off is Sean's at 6:00. All he does is put it off, look at Shabbir and doze off again. The second one is Prashant's at 7:00 which is on constant snooze for the next 1 hour. It is so loud that it can be heard in both the rooms. Then rings Sean's second alarm for which he has to get up as the clock is kept at a distance. Around this time Shabbir's sleep is broken. Many a time they both look at each other, look at the time and go back to sleep. Around the same time is Amar's alarm which he just puts off and hides himself under the blanket. All along Prashant's "loud" alarm (snooze) is still ringing every 10 mins. The last alarm is Shabbir's at 8:00 which is switched off in his sleep. Finally at 8:30 Shabbir gets a call to which he wakes up. Then comes the time of waking everyone up. Sometimes that means kicking people out of bed (Amar).

In the end Harris turns up all dressed and ready for class and finding us all brushing shaving shitting bathing.

The Glug Glug Joke

"The Glug Glug" joke is one of the famous jokes of the MGM. It will have take you into shock at first and then you will be in splits. If you are really interested in hearing "The Glug Glug" joke then wait for it to be posted or pester anyone of the mgm to narrate it to you!

Cupid - Our Room's Angel

Love is in the air. We have someone in love (knowing it), someone in love (not knowing it or at least not admitting it), someone love sick (heart sick), someone quietly searching for love and someone really unlucky in love. Except for one we are singles with a couple on the verge of crossing over to the other side.

The Reason

The Reason by Hoobastank has become one of the favorite songs of the MGM. Amar being exposed to such sweet music had become crazy about this song. One fine morning we caught him in his TOWEL (only), messy hair and stinking breath, getting ready for the day (with a torn Jockey in his hand) singing "I'm Not A Perfect Person".

This is my Dream Company!

Days are grey as the international financial crisis is affecting people the world over. Once such affect was clearly seen in "Our Favorite" Amar. It was the day when the newspapers were screaming the headlines "Lehman Brothers File For Bankruptcy". In the evening during our daily comedy sessions Sean mentioned this to the others. This led to Amar the ignorant fool saying, "WHAT!!! THAT IS MY DREAM COMPANY!!!"

Hide And ..... Seek

It started with Prashant eating a packet of Hide And Seek. He offered Sean a couple of them and seeing this our favorite Amar "As Hungry As Ever" started whining for one. Prashant offered him a biscuit but the greedy Amar pointed at the biscuit packet and asking for the whole packet. Prashant ate the biscuit he was offering and gave the packet to Amar. Amar opened the packet to find that it was empty.

Moral of the Story : Greed doesnt get you anything.
